My boy enjoying his favorite sport.....

This might not have been the sport I would have chosen for Sam, for reasons like danger and that he will likely want to move out west when he's older. BUT, when I see the pure joy on his face as he flips and slides along the rails, I know that this sport is exactly what God had in mind for a kid like Sam. I pray that God will protect him throughout his life as he lives adventurously...

What have we been up to?

Our weekends continue to be filled with sporting events. Janie is 8 and is playing basketball at the YMCA. Sam is 12 and is playing on a club basketball team. Brooke is 14 and is playing on a club volleyball team at Carpe Diem.

Sam "shreddin the gnar".... (gnarly snow!)

Sam will enjoy winter until the last bit of snow has melted. Snowboarding is one of his favorite things to do. He has spent countless hours at Cannonsburg this winter. The highlight of his winter was a long weekend out west on the slopes of Snow Mass in Aspen. 2010

I just love my sweet girls. The innocence in their eyes is so beautiful to me.

Daddy/Daughter Dance... February 2010

After a fun pre-party celebration at the Jonker's house, Tim and Janie attended the Daddy/Daughter Dance at Sunshine Church. Tim did the best he could, but he was hobbling around with an injured foot. He injured it the week before while in Panama.

Thank the LORD that we decided to have Baby #3...

When I look at this picture, I am filled with emotion. Part of me wants to pick Janie up and cradle her in my arms like a little baby, and the other part realizes that she's growing up just as quickly as the older two did. How quickly the past 7 (almost 8) years have flown by. I am so thankful to God to have her in our lives. She is so full of life and energy, with such a great sense of humor. She is kind and thoughtful. She is our little "Bubba Lou Bear", and we love her!!
